Wakeboarding in New Jersey

datePosted on 13:29, April 13th, 2010 by bigspin

Wakeboarding in New Jersey – not a year round sport so for those die hard wakeboarders in NJ, the window is officially open.  Yes, the water is cold but chances are you will not run into any boat traffic in April.  During the summer months, we go early in the AM but for those of you who like to sleep in, weekend wakeboarding is not really fun.  It’s not fun when you have to worry about all the beginner boaters out there holding your life in their hands.  So…if you like wakeboarding and dislike other boats in the water while you are out there, now is the time to get out there.

Lake Hopatcong, NJ Wakeboarding in April

This year we got a much earlier start compared to prior years.  We were in the water April 10th and it was so NiCCCeee!!

The water is still cold, even with a wetsuit but you always have the option to dock start / stop – just don’t fall!

No dock starts for us, not this time at least.  It was good to be back out!

Who is still wakeboarding in dirty jerzey?

I remember going wake boarding in November 2 years ago.  It was cold as hell – but never the less, we went.  Who is still freezing their nads off wakeboarding?
